From the Mountain, With Respect

From time immemorial, Indigenous peoples have lived in relationship with the mountains - not as obstacles to conquer, but as living ancestors that breathe strength, wisdom, and peace into all creation. Each rock carries the mountain’s spirit - a story of endurance, patience, and balance with the earth.

Inspired by these teachings, our Rock Collection Campaign honours that sacred relationship. The rocks we paint are not just pieces of earth - they are fragments of the mountain, gifted to us to share messages of hope, healing, and remembrance.

In the act of painting, each participant - whether experiencing homelessness, a veteran, or a volunteer - connects with the land. Every brushstroke becomes a quiet prayer, a thank-you to the earth, and a reflection of the peace within.
